Ragi Elias, Associate, and Carly Shanahan, Technical Advisor, of Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, LLP will review and discuss the USPTO’s AIA Second Anniversary Forum. Lunch will be provided. CLE is being applied for but is not guaranteed.

Faculty:

Carly A. Shanahan, Ph.D., Technical Advisor

Carly Shanahan is a technical advisor who assists in the prosecution of patent applications, specializing in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology.

Dr. Shanahan received her B.S. summa cum laude in chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and her Ph.D. in chemistry, with a focus in organic chemistry and chemical biology, from Yale University. She was awarded the David L. Stern Scholarship in Chemistry for outstanding academic performance by UNC-Chapel Hill and was also the recipient of the Distinguished Chemistry Fellowship, awarded by Yale University to incoming graduate students who show exceptional promise in chemical research.

Ragi Elias, Associate

Ragi Elias is an associate with Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP specializing in patent prosecution.

Mr. Elias received his B.S. and his M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University. He received his J.D. cum laude from Seton Hall University School of law.
