PHILADELPHIA (April 3, 2012) – Dennis Butler, Attorney at Panitch Schwarze Belisario and Nadel LLP, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Engineering Capstone Design Conference held at the Pennsylvania State University on April 21, 2012. The conference will take place at the University’s Harrisburg campus. The event celebrate graduating seniors extensive engineering design and research projects tackling real-world engineering issues. Mr. Butler earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Engineering Mechanics. He remains involved with the university where he and his wife Haley have established a scholarship that provides opportunities for engineering students to pursue industrial and research internships.

Dennis Butler focuses his practice on intellectual property transactional, litigation and technology law, including representation before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign patent offices, counseling, technology licensing and intellectual property litigation. Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP, Mr. Butler was patent counsel at global medical device company Synthes, an structural engineer with Boeing Defense and Space Group, Helicopters Division and United Technologies – Pratt & Whitney. He received his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law where he was an editor for the Environmental Law and Technology Journal and won the TASA Prize for Outstanding Performance in the Field of Evidence.
