Panitch Schwarze Welcomes IP Attorney Gary Cohen

PHILADELPHIA (January 27, 2014) – Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of the firm’s newest attorney, Gary M. Cohen. Mr. Cohen is a registered Patent Attorney with over thirty years of prior experience in various mechanical and electrical art fields, including medical and dental devices, storage batteries, and measurement systems, including computer applications.

Mr. Cohen comes to the firm from private practice where, for over fifteen years, he has served large and small companies as well as individual clients in all phases of representation in the field of intellectual property. Primary emphasis included the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, as well as trademark applications and copyright matters. Also included are licensing matters, and advice on issues of patentability, infringement and validity, with an emphasis on effective interaction with engineering, scientific and key management personnel, and the development of early-stage strategies and their subsequent implementation.

Mr. Cohen is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cohen received his B.S.E.E. in 1974 from Drexel University cum laude and his J.D. in 1977 from Temple University School of Law (Member – Temple Law Quarterly).
